What sizes do measuring cylinders come in?
Our plastic graduated measuring cylinders range from 10ml up to 2 litres, including 10ml, 25ml, 50ml, 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1 litre and 2 litre options. They're made from PP with a printed blue scale for clear volume reading, designed for everyday lab, educational and light industrial measuring tasks where a shatterproof alternative to glass is preferred.
What is a wash bottle used for?
A wash bottle is a squeezable container with a narrow directional spout, used to rinse glassware, apply small controlled amounts of solvent, or dispense liquids like distilled water during lab work. Ours come in wide-neck LDPE format, pre-printed with common lab liquids including distilled water, methanol, isopropanol, ethanol and acetone, so the contents are clearly labelled at a glance.
What's the difference between a carboy and a wash bottle?
A carboy is a large-capacity HDPE container, typically used for bulk liquid storage, and ours are available with or without a stopcock connection for controlled dispensing. A wash bottle is much smaller and designed for squeeze-dispensing small, precise amounts of liquid rather than storage. Both are stocked in graduated versions for volume reference.
Can plastic lab containers withstand chemicals like acetone or isopropanol?
Our wash bottles are supplied pre-printed for use with acetone, isopropanol, methanol and ethanol specifically, so the materials are chosen to be compatible with these common lab solvents. For anything highly aggressive or unusual, it's worth checking with our team before use.
